All is not what it seems

I was with friends for a 'girls night out' last night. It'd been too long- since my bday- that we'd all gotten together, so we were all pretty excited. The bar wasn't all that busy, but we were having a great time drinking the $3 martini's and listening to the band...and that's when it happened.

I got a text saying, "I see you :)"

Only the phone number showed up and since I delete numbers every so often, I had no idea who it was that had my number. hmmm, I looked around the place, but the dimmed lights made it hard to scan the room.

"what am I wearing," I text back.

"jeans and a black shirt, you look beautiful."

weird, but kindof cool..."stalker," I  playfully reply.

"should I come over to you?" pops back on my phone.

My curiosity is peaked. Geez, who could it be? There were a few guys whom I'd recently deleted from my phone ...this avoids late night dialing...and do I really want to talk with him if he doesn't feel that they can just come up to me? But, I'm a thrill seeker and the mystery of it all was getting me a little excited---not that way, get your mind out of the gutter!

I slowly typed my reply "go on then" and pressed send.

Moments later two arms wrap around my waist and I turn...it was my friend Kim, whom I hadn't seen in months!

It was delightful to see her cute smile and catch up on our lives, but I have to admit, I had played out a totally different scenario in my head as I sent that final text to my mystery texter...man, I am such a hopeless romantic.
